How do I add an Automation to my Campaign?

With Automations, you have the option to trigger certain actions based on how a subscriber interacts with your message. For example, if a subscriber clicks on a link in that message, they'll be tagged with a specific tag to receive another campaign. In this article we'll walk through how to add an Automation to your campaign.

Note: If you are using AWeber’s sales tracking in your list, and have the analytics javascript installed, automations will not trigger for that URL.

If your account was created after 02/03/2020, the Follow Up Series feature will not be present within your account as this feature has been deprecated. Creating an automated series of messages can be done with Campaigns.

Step By Step Instructions

  1. Once you've set up your campaign, click on the "Send a Message" action you'd like to use for this Automation.

    Click the message action

  2. Then, click the "Add Automation" button in the right hand Settings menu.

  3. You'll have the option to select a trigger action for this Automation from the "Add Automation" menu.

  4. After you've set the trigger and action for this campaign, click "Apply" in the bottom right.

Congratulations! You've successfully added an automation to your message. You can see which Send Message actions have an Automation by the green badge next to the subject line.
