How do I remove an Automation from my Workflow?

With Automations, you have the option to start certain actions based on how a subscriber interacts with your message. At times, it will be necessary to stop an action from starting in your list. In this article we'll walk through how to remove an automation from your workflow.

If you are using AWeber’s sales tracking in your list, and have the analytics javascript installed, automations will not start for that URL.

Note: When you edit an automation within your workflow it will only affect new subscribers. Any subscriber who has progressed past that automation will be unaffected.

Step By Step Instructions

1. In your workflow, navigate to the Send Message action you would like to edit.
   
   
   
   
2. Then, click the automation icon.
   
   
   
   
3. From the Automation Rules panel, remove your desired automation. For this example, click the "x" icon to remove the tag will delete the automation. Once finished, close the Automation Rules panel.
   
   

Congratulations! You've successfully removed your Automation from this Send Message action. You can confirm this by checking that the green Automations label on the action is no longer present.
