How do I edit an Automation in my Workflow?

As you work to build out your workflows, you may need to edit an Automation so that it performs differently in the future. You'll have this option within the settings panel on the right-hand side of the screen. In this article we'll go over how to edit an existing automation within your workflow.

Note: When you edit an automation within your workflow, it will only affect new subscribers. Any subscriber who has progressed past that automation will not be affected by the change.

Step By Step Instructions

  1. First, click the edit button of the workflow you would like to edit from the Workflows section of the Automations tab.

  2. Then, navigate to the Send Message action with the Automation you would like to change. Any actions with an automation will have a green icon.

  3. Once you've selected your Send Message action, click the Automations icon. Any active automations will show in the Automation Rules settings panel on the right-hand side of the screen.

  4. Navigate to your desired Automation rule, and make any changes as needed. You can add a new tag, remove a tag, change the option to "Remove from workflow?", or completely delete your Click Automation Rule by clicking the trash can icon. Once finished, close the Automation Rules panel.

Congratulations! You've successfully edited an automation in your workflow. New subscribers will be effected by the new triggers and actions you have created.
