Phishing (Definition)
Identity theft where someone fraudulently attempts to scam another person into providing passwords, credit card information, or bank information.
These emails are often sent looking like they come from a major bank and ask the user to click a spoofed link to provide sensitive information.
The "Anti-Phishing Act of 2005" bill was introduced to criminalize Internet scams involving fraudulently obtaining personal information, aka phishing.
