How do I use Ad Tracking with subscribers acquired by email?

July 2019: Subscribing by emailing an email address has been deprecated and is no longer supported. Adding subscribers via import, web form, or API is a better method of adding subscribers that prevents spam bots from attempting to add people that did not request information from you.

 

To use Ad Tracking for subscribers who are emailing your autoresponder to sign up, have them send e-mail to a modified version of your AWeber autoresponder address.

Tack the Ad Tracking Category Onto Your Autoresponder Address


Pick an ad tracking category, and add it to your address as follows: 

      listname.ad_tracking@aweber.com 


Subscribers who email your modified AWeber autoresponder address will be added to your autoresponder, and assigned to the appropriate ad category.

Valid ad names may contain letters, numbers, hyphens, or underscores, but not spaces. Ad Tracking values will only use lower case letters. Use this modified autoresponder address everywhere you advertise, including in e-mail, print, and web marketing materials.
