Why is my Blog Broadcast inactive?

Newsletters generated by the Blog Broadcast feature rely on the use of an RSS feed for content.

If this RSS feed is inaccessible for at least 4 days, the Blog Broadcast will be deactivated. Feeds can also be deactivated automatically when there are more than 1000 feed items that have not been sent in any Blog Broadcasts. This is in place to avoid queueing and/or sending an enormous number of Blog Broadcast messages in the list.

When a Blog Broadcast is deactivated, an email notification will be sent to help resolve any problems and restore the sending of blog newsletters.

If you receive one of these emails, we suggest you get in touch with your web developer or web host to determine what the issue is. Once it is resolved, reactivating your Blog Broadcast is simple:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Hover over the "Messages" tab, and click on "Blog Broadcasts".
  3. Click on the "Feed Title" of the Blog Broadcast that is having problems.
  4. Scroll down and click "Save Blog Broadcast".

If your RSS feed is accessible at that time, it will automatically be reactivated.
