Sometimes, you may find that your subscribers are looking for more control in the way that you communicate with them. Offering your list a chance to receive messages from you more or less often is a great way to engage your active readers further and maybe even reconnect with subscribers who haven't been opening your messages lately.
Step By Step Instructions
- Create a new list that you will send to at a different frequency (more or less often). To do so, click "Manage Lists" from the top center of your page.
- In your original list, create an automation rule to unsubscribe people from that list when they subscribe to the new one. You can create an automation rule by hovering over the "List Options" tab and clicking List Automation.
- Next, you'll need to create a sign up form where people can join your new list. It would be a good idea to make sure that you highlight the fact that by filling out this form, the subscribers will be removed from the list they are currently on and added to a list with messages sent at a different frequency.
- Now send a broadcast to a segment of your original list inviting your subscribers to change the frequency. You can create a segment under the Manage Subscribers page. Just include a link to the page where you added the form for your new list.
After doing the above, you'll be good to go. Just make sure to send to each list at their respective frequencies.
