How do I view my message as a web page?
When you send out a broadcast message you can easily have your subscribers view it online by adding a Newsletter Hub link to your message, as opposed to having them view it directly in their email client. This is a great option to have your subscribers view the message as a web page if their email client is having any issues with viewing the message properly.
In this article, we will review how to add the Newsletter Hub link to your message.
Note: When following the below instructions you will want to make sure "Sharing" is enabled for your broadcast.
Step by Step Instructions
- When you are working on a broadcast message, click so that your cursor appears where you would like the archive link to be. Then, click the "Personalize" button from the toolbar directly above the area you selected.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Your Snippets" and choose "Archived Web Version".
This will insert a URL that will link to the archived version of your broadcast.
- Alternatively, you can use your own text for the linked text. Insert a link into your message and for the link URL you would enter {{ message.archive_url }}.
Using AWeber's HTML Editor?
- When you are working on a message, code into your message where you would like to have your link for having your subscribers view your message as a webpage. For this example, the phrase "View This Message Online" is being used.
- In the code where you want to add the hyperlink, you can select from the "Personalize" menu - Your Snippets - Archived Web Version. This will provide the snippet for {{ message.archive_url }}
Once you complete this, the text that you coded will be converted into a link that links to the archived version of your broadcast once the message is sent.
Note: When sending yourself a test message, the link in the test will go to your general broadcast archive page and not to the individual archived broadcast. This is because the broadcast has not been sent yet. That link will not be live until the broadcast has actually been sent and posted to the archive page.
