What do email parsers do?

The email parser is a legacy feature that will no longer be available for use starting on 01/13/2020. We recommend you take advantage of one of our existing partner integrations, set up a Zapier automation, or develop a custom solution with our public API at AWeber Labs. You may contact our customer solutions team at help@aweber.com if you have any questions.

We use email parsers in situations where you want subscribers to add to your list via an email from a third party, typically a payment processor such as PayPal, rather than the subscriber sending an email directly from their email program.

The parser is a set of rules that "reads" incoming email messages to your autoresponder and extracts subscribers' information from them.

Any addresses added through an email parser would be required to confirm their address before being subscribed.

We have email parsers set up for several payment processors, including:

  • Authorize.net
  • PayDotCom
  • Clickbank
  • 1ShoppingCart.com
  • StormPay
  • Regsoft.com
  • As well as other online applications.

If you are using a service that we don't already have an email parser for, and you think you need an email parser to use that service with AWeber, you can create your own integration using AWeber's API.
