How Do I Integrate Geckoboard With AWeber?

Geckoboard will allow you to gather key metrics from multiple services into in an easy to view format on the Geckoboard dashboard. By adding widgets to your Geckboard dashboard you can view data from your CRM, Email, Infrastructure, Project Management, Sales & Finance, Social Media and Web Analytics all at once.

The AWeber integration with Geckoboard allows you to add widgets to your Geckoboard dashboard for viewing different types of metrics and statistics for broadcasts you send and for subscribers on your list. Below you will find instructions on how to integrate AWeber with Geckoboard, and how to setup each of the various widgets available through this integration.

Step By Step Instructions

  1. First, you will want to log into your Geckoboard account. Once logged in you will want to click on the "ADD WIDGET" button at the top of the page.

  2. Next, you will see a bunch of the different services that you can choose from on the left side of the page. From these services you will want to click on "AWeber."

  3. You will then see a page with widgets for the different types of data that you can display on your Geckoboard. Click on "ADD THIS WIDGET" underneath the widget that you want to display on your Geckoboard. Don't worry, if you want to display more than one widget you can go back and select any additional widgets that you would like displayed.

  4. On the next page you will want to type in your AWeber login name under "Account Name" and then click the "CONNECT" button.

    A window will then popup asking you to enter in your AWeber login name and password. After entering your login details you will want to click the "Allow Access" button.

  5. You will then be taken to a page where you where you will want to configure the widget you chose. Below you will find instructions on how to setup each of the various widgets.

Broadcast Message Stats And Line Graph Widgets

  1. In the sidebar, select the AWeber account you want to connect to from the drop down menu under the "AWeber" heading.

    Next, you can label your widget. This is not necessary, but it is a great way to make that widget more recognizable amongst other widgets. We suggest labeling the widget as something similar to the title of the broadcast message that it is in reference to.

    The next option is for setting the widget size. You may want to experiment with this as you can always go back and change its size again.

    You will then want to select the account number associated with your AWeber account from the drop down menu underneath where it says "Account."

    For the next drop down menu you will want to select the list that the broadcast was sent from underneath the heading for "List."

    Underneath the "Campaign" heading you will want to select the broadcast message that you want to see statistics for.

    From the last drop down menu you can select the type of statistics you would like to see in the widget for the message you had selected. The types of statistics you can view are:

    - Total Spam complaints
    - Total Opens
    - Total Unsubscribes
    - Total Unsubscribed (after sending campaign)
    - Total Clicks
    - Total Sent
    - Total Undelivered
    - Total Sales Count
    - Total Sales Value
    - Unique Clicks
    - Unique Opens

    NoteFor the "Broadcast Message Stats Line Graph" widget you will see the same options as above. However, you will see options for the first 24 hours of statistics collected or the first 14 days of statistics collected. Since the statistics are shown on a graph, those are the time frames that the graph will show data for.

    In this example, we will select "Total Opens."

  2. Once you have finished all of the above and click the "ADD WIDGET" button.

  3. You will now see a widget on your Geckoboard Dashboard for the message you wanted to see those particular statistics for! Below you can see an example of the "Broadcast Message Stats Line Graph" widget on the left and the "Broadcast Message Stats" widget on the right.

Subscriber Count Widget

  1. First, you will want to select the AWeber account you want to connect to from the drop down menu under where it says "AWeber in the sidebar.

    You can then enter a label for the widget. This is optional, but it is a great way to distinguish the subscribers being tracked in the list selected other lists you may add "Subscriber Count" widgets for.

    The next option is for setting the widget size. You may want to experiment with this as you can always go back and change it's size again. However, since this is just for showing subscriber count a 1x1 widget should be more than enough.

    You will then want to select the account number associated with your AWeber account from the drop down menu underneath where it says "Account."

    In the next drop down menu for "List" you will want to select the list that you want to show the subscriber count for.

    For the final drop down menu under "Metric" you will select what type of metric you want to display for the subscriber count for that list. The options for metrics are:

    - Total Subscribers
    - Total Unsubscribes
    - Subscribers Today Vs. Yesterday

    In this example, we will select "Total Subscribers" as the metric to be shown.

  2. Once you have finished all of the above and click the "ADD WIDGET" button.

  3. You will now see a widget on your Geckoboard Dashboard for the subscriber count metric that you have chosen! Below you will see an example of how the widget might look for the "Total Subscribers" metric.

Subscriber Location Map Widget

  1. First, you will want to select the AWeber account you want to connect to from the drop down menu under where it says "AWeber in the sidebar.

    You can then enter a label for the widget. This is optional, but it is a great way to distinguish the this "Subscriber Location Map" widget from any others that you might add for other lists.

    Next, you will be able to adjust the size of the widget. The default size for this particular widget is 2x2, but you can make it 4x2 as well. Whichever size you choose is up to whatever you feel looks best on your dashboard.

    You will then want to select the account number associated with your AWeber account from the drop down menu underneath where it says "Account."

    In the next drop down menu you will want to select the list that you want to show the subscriber location map for.

  2. Once you have finished all of the above and click the "ADD WIDGET" button.

  3. You will now see a widget on your Geckboard Dashboard that shows a map of the various locations for where your subscribers may be located around the world! Below you can see an example of how this widget would look. The blue dots signify where a subscriber is located.

Note: Any of the above widgets can be added to your Geckoboard Dashboard multiple times. So if you want, you can add multiple widgets for tracking different metrics for messages and subscribers!
