How do I turn my Workflow off and on?

Managing your Workflows effectively is essential to ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation. Turning a workflow from "On" to "Off" is a quick and straightforward process that allows you to pause activity when needed, whether for strategic adjustments, budget considerations, or workflow completion. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to turn a workflow "Off", helping you maintain control and flexibility in your marketing efforts.

  1. Navigate to the Workflows page.

Once you're logged in, look for the "Workflows" option in the main menu. Click it to navigate to your list of workflows.

  2. Identify your workflow and turn it Off from the menu

Browse through your list of workflows to find the one that you'd like to turn "Off". Click the three-dot menu and choose "Turn Off".

What happens when a Workflow is turned "Off"?

When a workflow is "Off", new subscribers will not get added. All current subscribers will stop receiving messages via the workflow as well. Once the workflow is turned back "On", existing subscribers will continue to progress through the workflow on schedule. Subscribers that were added to your list while the workflow was "Off" can be added to the workflow manually. While the workflow is "Off", actions like sending messages and applying or removing tags are "Off", but subscribers will continue through any Wait actions.

Note: If the workflow is "Off" for longer then the total time on a Wait action, the action following the wait will take place immediately upon turning the workflow back "On". If there is a send window in place, the action will take place at the next available send window after the workflow is turned "On".
