How do I remove Web Push Notifications from my website?

In this article, we will walk through the steps to remove Web Push Notifications from your site.

Web Push Notifications allow visitors to your website to subscribe to receive browser notifications about your website or business. Web Push Notifications can provide a lot of value to your website by driving traffic. There are lot of different ways in which you can use these notifications to alert visitors about new sales, products, or blog posts. If you decide that you would no longer like to use Web Push Notifications after you've installed them, you can remove them.

Step By Step Instructions

  1. If you would like to completely remove Web Push Notifications from your site, then you will first have to remove the unique snippet for your site. You should have placed this above the closing </body> tag in your site's coding. If you're not sure what the snippet is, go to your website settings to find the exact line of code. This will be in the second section.

  2. There are also setup files in the "root directory" of your website that you will have to remove. If you're not sure how to access the root directory of your site, consult with your web developer or the support team of your web host.

  3. Once complete, click the "Disconnect Website" button in your website settings.

    Click Disconnect Website

And that's it! Please note: if you remove the Javascript and setup files from your website, and decide to use notifications later, you will have to completely re-install them.
